About our School

Failte (welcome)

The Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance has been dedicated to promoting and cultivating a love of traditional Irish dance, music and culture since 1999.

Inis Cairde’s teachers are united not only in their love of Irish step dancing, but also in their passion for nurturing the experience of each individual student here through this wonderful art form that we love. Every student’s journey is unique. With respect for that, we challenge our students to set goals for themselves, while teaching them to embrace and enjoy the process rather than focusing solely the end result. While we aim to promote a strong technical base in Irish step dancing at all levels, of equal importance to us is the chance to cultivate self-confidence and a sense of personal achievement in all of our dancers.

We are proud of our dancers who have gone on to succeed in Regional, North American, and World competitions, and who regularly give back to the local community through performance. What we’re most proud of, however, is the number of students whose time here has been spent not only perfecting their dance technique, but learning the valuable life lessons of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. It’s their personal success that inspires us as a school, and makes our community a wonderful place to get involved.

We would love to have you join us.

Affiliated with Inis Cairde is the Inis Cairde Parents' Association (ICPA), a non-profit organization whose primary functions are to positively enhance the overall experience of our dancers, and to assist the dancers and their families with the costs associated with competition (mainly travel, and school costumes). The volunteer-run ICPA hosts several events each year that not only encourage the sense of community here, but also assist in raising funds for our dancers.
